Looking ahead: a year of service and remembrance

As we begin the new year, our Sub Branch has completed its annual reporting to the ACNC and is planning another year of welfare support, commemorative services and community events. We thank our members and volunteers for their continued dedication, and we welcome new members and supporters to join us in the year ahead.

Remembrance Day: we paused to remember

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, our community gathered to observe a minute's silence in honour of all who served and sacrificed. Thank you to everyone who attended our Remembrance Day service and laid a poppy in tribute. Their name liveth for evermore.

The Poppy Day appeal is underway

Our annual Poppy Day appeal is now in full swing. Volunteers are out across the district sharing poppies and raising funds for veteran welfare. Every poppy worn and every dollar given helps us continue to care for veterans and their families. We're grateful for the community's generous support.

ANZAC Day 2025 — Lest We Forget

Our Sub Branch was proud to take part in ANZAC Day commemorations, honouring the courage and sacrifice of Australia's servicemen and women. From the Dawn Service to the march, it was a moving day of remembrance and comradeship shared with our community and local school students.

Supporting veteran wellbeing all year round

Beyond the big commemorative days, our welfare volunteers work quietly throughout the year — checking in on members, offering a friendly ear, and helping veterans and families access the support they need. If you or someone you know needs a hand, please reach out. No veteran should stand alone.
